Balwin Community Old Fashioned Picnic & Membership Drive
September 12, 2010, 11 AM - 3 PM at Balwin Community League 128A Ave and
76 Street Come enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of Wheel Barrow Races, 3
Legged Races Sack Races, Tug of War Parachute games, Petting Zoo and
Barbecue! Balwin Community League members only will receive: 1 Burger or
Hotdog and choice of drink for each family member in their household.
Extra drinks 50 cents Community memberships will be available for
$10.00/family or $5.00 for seniors. $5 per person without a membership.

Indoor Soccer Registration will be held on
September 9, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, at the Rink Shack (76th Street and
128A Avenue)!

General meeting Sept. 8th - all welcome. We are currently
looking for some key positions on our executive. Anybody interested in
joining out team, please come to general meeting on Sept. 8th at 7:00pm.

Zoe Gardner Spray Park/Playground Renovation needs volunteers to share
and contribute ideas. If you are interested in volunteering please

Summer 2010
GREEN SHACK SUMMER PROGRAM will be returning this summer to Balwin
Community Park, located next to Balwin Community Hall. This is a free
program sponsored in cooperation of The City of Edmonton and Balwin
Community! Call 311 to find out more about the program.

COMMUNITY LEAGUE DAYS will be kicked off with an old fashioned picnic on
Sunday, Sept. 12th, 2010. Balwin is interested in hosting a week long
event! We need your ideas for a week of evening events and programs.
What would you like to see our community host? For example: tennis,
basketball, ball hockey tournaments, yoga, dance, art classes, or craft,
talent or youth nights. We need your input before September! Contact Les

Do you have unwanted wool? The Ladies of Beverly United Church are in need of wool to make shawls for the sick, bereaved, shut-ins or for anyone needing comfort. Please contact Gerry at 780-476-2854.
